2022 - Summer at Crafnant House
Another fantastic season at our B&B slowly draws to a close so it is time to reflect on another busy summer welcoming guests to our home and this beautiful corner of North Wales!
It has been especially wonderful having international travellers back, many coming to Wales after a 2-3 year delay (!) and wanting to enjoy every minute of their holiday here having finally made it!!!
International visitors to Snowdonia and our B&B!
Selfies were a popular request which has been great fun, and Stuart even made it out of the kitchen for them!
These are just some of the amazing people we met this year (from top left):
Louis and Juliette from France
Simon and Elke from Belgium
Jose and co. from Spain
Rally (and Frido, behind the camera!) from the Netherlands
John and Sue from the USA
Tamar and Leora from Israel!
They - and many others - will live long in the memory!
We’re always delighted that people discover both our B&B for a place to stay, and our little village, Trefriw, and that in return we can play a part in making sure they have the best time and create their own memories.
The beautiful garden at our B&B!
The weather even behaved most of the summer - it was generally a good one!
The garden looked splendid for months and it was great to see guests enjoy using it, usually with a glass of something cold after an exhausting day exploring Snowdonia and North Wales!
Delicious breakfasts for our guests!
Suffice to say we carried on producing the best breakfasts all summer for our guests!
Some of our classic daily breakfast specials reappeared, whilst other new ones were created! From left:
potato hash with a fried egg and sriracha;
fried egg, caramelised onions and a sausage pattie on a rósti with sriracha mayo;
Welsh cheddar omelette with roasted pimentón potatoes;
brioche French toast with apple compote and candied walnuts.
The perfect start to your day when you stay at our B&B!!!
Days out in Snowdonia and North Wales!
Bryn had a great summer exploring North Wales too!
More rosettes won at the Llanrwst Rural Show; trips to cafes on our short break at a holiday cottage in Shropshire; fun at the seaside; a new girlfriend in the village; and keeping cool in the rivers in Snowdonia National Park!
We also found the time to have some fantastic hikes ourselves in Snowdonia national park.
Moel Siabod was conquered for the first time on a gloriously sunny day, and it was stunning, with amazing views all around of North Wales.
It is a really good alternative to walking up Snowdon which has been VERY busy all summer, so if you do want to climb a mountain but get away from the crowds it really is highly recommended!
We also had a fantastic day completing the Tour De Mon cycling event on Anglesey in August.
It is a brilliantly organised route on quiet roads with lovely scenery, and again the weather was…. well, amazing!!!
Wild swimming in Snowdonia!
Whilst Jasmine maintained her commitment to go wild swimming almost every weekday morning (before breakfast!), in Llyn Geirionydd just above Trefriw, and whatever the weather!
So all in all, another fun and enjoyable summer at our bed and breakfast in North Wales - why not stay with us and discover some of these things yourselves?!
